(RALEIGH) -- Flights out of North Carolina's major airports are being canceled once again because of another snowstorm in the northeast. Raleigh-Durham International Airport spokesperson Mindy Hamlin said it is another hectic day.

"We are seeing quite a few cancellations to the northeast.  To the New York area airports, Boston, the D.C. area, so we are recommending that passengers who have travel plans today and tomorrow to contact their airline before coming to the airport," said Hamlin.

Hundreds of airplane passengers across the northeast were stranded. The storm left more than 400,000 customers in and around the nation's capital without power.
