(RALEIGH) -- The 26th annual Emerging Issues Forum in Raleigh is focused on health care and the delivery of it across the state. Allen Dobson, president and CEO of Community Care of North Carolina told attendees that one of the difficult parts of health care delivery is that it will differ from town to town.
"Health care is local and it could be in a small rural area a single doctor's office and a pharmacy is your health care system compared to places like Raleigh that has robust health care providers all over the city," said Dobson. He added that goal of his organization is to put health care teams in communities to help better manage the delivery of care.
Among the other speakers at this year's event is CNN medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta.who will take the podium on Tuesday. The Emerging Issues Forum, run by former Gov. Jim Hunt, wraps up on Tuesday.
