(MOUNT GILEAD ) -- A student at a West Montgomery County High school is facing charges of possessing weapons of mass destructions after officers found an object made to look like an explosive device in his home. Officers also found a flamethrower and a hit list naming 11 fellow students.
"I don't know how the kids names got on this list," said Montgomery County Sheriff Dempsey Owens. "I don't see any evidence of any bullying or anything like that." The list also contained the wording, “May all on the list die at my wish,” according to Sheriff Owens.
The investigation began after a teacher saw the paper and spoke with the School Resource Officer. The student gave consent to search his backpack. Detectives joined the investigation and searched the student’s residence.
The sheriff is not releasing the names of the students on the list. Owens also said that the accused student is under age 18.
