U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan looking for feedback from small business

(GREENSBORO) -- Sen. Kay Hagan Triad area business owners to a business roundtable in Greensboro on Friday. She is looking for feedback on the economy, job creation and economic growth.

Hagan said  Small business will be the catalyst for creating jobs.  "Ninety-eight percent of the private sector employment in our state is through small business and I think that is absolutely critical," said Hagan.

Hagan is a member of the Senate Banking Committee and she wants to make sure that banks have the capital to lend to small businesses. She backed a bill that created a $30 billion fund for banks to lend to small businesses.

She added that education is also a key to getting people back to work. She praised North Carolina's community college system for the job their doing retraining workers.
