(CHARLOTTE) -- Looks to be no letup for the price at the pumps across North Carolina and the nation. The unrest in Libya is driving the cost of crude oil to over $100 a barrel.
Tom Crosby with AAA Carolinas Motorclub says as long as the future of that country is in doubt, the cost will continue to go nowhere but up.
Statewide, the cost of a gallon of self-serve unleaded is almost $3.45 a gallon. Fayetteville motorists are paying the highest in the state at $3.48. The Greensboro-Winston-Salem/High Point area has the lowest at $3.42.
