(CHARLOTTE) -- While the national average of a price of a gallon of regular gasoline is now at $3.57, an analyst at AAA Carolinas motor club in charlotte said the average in North Carolina is about a nickel a gallon lower at $3.52.8. Tom Crosby with AAA Carolinas said he does not expect any major fluctuations until the end of next week.
"Typically we see prices actually increase in April when there is a little bit of a refinery cut back as they switch to summer blend gasoline, it's going to be interesting to see how prices are affected in April," said Crosby.
He expects now that the United Nations has jumped into the crisis in Libya, speculation has dropped that the situation there could deepen and threaten oil supplies.
