(RALEIGH) -- Storm weary North Carolina residents may see another shot of severe weather on Thursday as a frontal boundary moves through the state. The storm has spawned high winds in some areas and Jeff Brooks of Progress Energy said are ready.

"Certainly those winds are going to continue throughout the day in much of our service area and we do have some outages downeast and are prepared if we see more throughout the day," said Brooks.

He added that there have been some power outages reported across the state.  The majority of the outages so far have occurred in southern counties of Progress Energy's service area.
