Barber and six others were charged with charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing.
Barber, was claiming that House Speaker Thom Tillis would not meet with him. Tillis said that is not the case. "He's not made a formal request of me. If there's another request out there, I'm not aware of it, but I can tell you that this outburst today doesn't make me likely to do it anytime soon." Tillis added that Barber owes the House chamber an apology.
As he was led out Barber said the state budget cannot be balanced on the backs of the poor. Barber was released from the Wake County Jail and planed a news conference on Wednesday.
