(RALEIGH) -- With the ongoing concern over the economy, the question remains when will financial stability return to North Carolina? Ran Coble of the North Carolina Center for Public Policy Research said one group has released an estimate.

"The fiscal research division of the legislature has looked at that and their estimate is it's going to be to 2013 before just the revenues get back to what they were in 2005, 06 and 07," said Coble.

For now, Coble said most elected officials are just trying to survive the difficult budget times until they can get re-elected to solve the questions. The economy will once again be the major concern during the 2012 elections, according to Coble.
