(RALEIGH) -- Travelers will be happy to know about the new imaging software that will be installed at Raleigh-Durham International Airport and other airports. The scanners will now show a generic outline of the human body instead of an invasive image.

If a yellow symbol, or anomaly, shows up on the screen, TSA Federal Security Director Michael Zunk said that is when security will ask a traveler questions.  "The TSA will ask them why would you have an anomaly on your knee thereby giving the passenger the chance to say, well, it's a knee replacement or I have an Ace bandage on," said Zunk.

TSA officials hope to have the new technology in place and fully operational this fall. RDU is one of 78 airports around the country to use the new software, and the only one in North Carolina.
