(RALEIGH) -- The state Department of Transportation has announced their launch of a second public survey relating to their 2040 Plan to improve North Carolina's transportation system. DOT spokeswoman Nicole Meister said that this survey gets into more specifics than the previous one.

"The first one was more general and this one is getting a little more into prioritizing exactly how residents feels that we should invest money and what are the most important place that we should be putting that money and should we be looking at other funding options," said Meister.
