(WASHINGTON, D.C.) -- North Carolina U.S. Rep. Renee Ellmers joined North Carolina Republican Party Chairman Robin Hayes and National GOP Chair Reince Priebus to denounce President Obama's American Jobs Act. Congresswoman Ellmers called the administration's handling of the employment front "a dog and pony show."
"His administration, his czars, advisors have built a house of cards with no foundation what so ever and we as Republicans continue to build that foundation that will really put forward a change in this economy," said Ellmers.
Ellmers also trumpeted the upset in a New York Congressional District where Republican novice Bob Turner defeated Democratic assemblyman David Weprin in a special election to capture the seat formerly held by Anthony Weiner.
State GOP Chairman Hayes said President Obama does not offer anything good for North Carolina. Hayes also made a link to President Obama's nomination to the National Labor Relations Board, Craig Decker. "Here's a big union labor ally who has been a part of using the NLRB to take jobs away from right to work states. President Obama is hurting jobs all over the country with this kind of union favoritism," added Hayes.
