(DURHAM) -- There are still questions, among federal regulators and customers alike, about the impact a proposed merger of Duke Energy and Progress will have. Speaking at the state Chamber's annual Economic Forecast Forum. Progress Energy CEO Bill Johnson said there is no question the company will be huge.
"Post merger we'll have more than $90 billion in total assets and serve more than 7 million households and businesses across six states, 4 million of which are right here in the Carolinas," said Johnson.
Regulatory questions in December delayed the the deal to merge Duke and Progress but Johnson said March could be the month that it happens.
