(WASHINGTON, D.C.) -- First Lady Michelle Obama has a trip to North Carolina set for Friday, with private events in Raleigh and Charlotte.  She also plans to take part in an event tied to the CIAA basketball tournament in Charlotte when the First Lady will promote her "Let's Move" initiative for young people.

Sen. Kay Hagan will be with Mrs. Obama for that event to promote good eating and exercise. "Cut off the TV, put down the video games and get active.  Go outside,play, take the dog for a walk anything to encourage exercise. I think it is so important," said Hagan.
 
Let’s Move! was launched by the First Lady and is dedicated to solving the problem of obesity within a generation.
