(CHARLOTTE) -- The average retail gasoline prices continue climbing with the average price for a gallon of regular at $3.79 across North Carolina. Tom Crosby of AAA Carolinas said the price creep at the pump will continue into spring.

"We're not having big jumps.  We're up about 4 cents from a week ago and we're up about 14 cents from a month ago, but it's creeping up a little bit each day and we suspect that that's going to continue right through the month of April, at least," said Crosby.

The national average for a gallon of gas increased 4.3 cents a gallon in the last week to $3.80 a gallon.
