(RALEIGH) -- There's a new brand in grocer's freezers in the Triangle. Texas's Blue Bell ice cream has expanded into the Raleigh area from Charlotte and Greensboro in the past week.

Raleigh Territory Operations Manager Keith Britton says they are already in 20 states and the Triangle was the next logical step. "We actually just have distribution centers here. We'll actually open one in Raleigh, we're looking for some land to build a building. But we do have three creameries, one in Alabama, our big one in Texas and one in Oklahoma as well," he said.

Blue Bell markets in 20 states and produces over 250 frozen products, of which 66 are flavors of ice cream. Blue Bell is currently being marketed in Lowes Foods, Kroger and Wal-Mart stores.
