(RALEIGH) -- In-person early voting for the May 8 Primary election begins at 8 a.m. on Thursday, April 19 and ends on Saturday, May 5 at 1 p.m. State Election Director Gary Bartlett said there is also a second change for those who still need to register as a voter.

"A person that is eligible to register and vote may come with the appropriate identification to a one-stop site and there they can fill out an application and vote," said Bartlett.

Voters wishing to find their closest one-stop voting site can call their local board of elections or go on line to the state board of elections county by county one-stop voting locator at http://www.app.sboe.state.nc.us/webapps/OS_sites/
