(MANTEO) -- Authorities investigating the death of an Ohio woman whose body was found on the Outer Banks issued an arrest warrant accusing her on-and-off boyfriend of murder. Dare County Sheriff's Capt. Charles Neiman said there is a nationwide search for 27-year-old Nathan Summerfield.

"The investigation is continuing from the Dare County Sheriff's Office, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation," said Neiman.

Summerfield is wanted on a first-degree murder charge. Officials believe he killed 33-year-old Lynn Jackenheimer. The State Medical Examiners Office confirmed that Jackenheimer died from being choked and from stab wounds.
