(CHAPEL HILL) -- An outside panel consisting of former Governor Jim Martin and the consulting firm Virchow, Krause and Company will look at academic fraud at the UNC-Chapel Hill campus. It was not the news students wanted to hear as they head back to campus for the fall semester.
UNC sophomore Spencer Anderson told News 14 Carolina that the whole situation is frustrating. "It's kind of like when you go to pull the band-aid off, you want to do it quick. You don't want to just pull it off, and this is kind of like we had our band-aid pulled off and now they're putting another one back on to rip it off again," he said.
Earlier this year, the school was hit with sanctions from the NCAA over academic fraud with the school's African American Studies program. Just when it seemed the school was ready to move forward, instead it's moving ahead with another investigation.
