(CHARLOTTE) -- The FBI in Charlotte is coordinating with law enforcement around the country in hopes of catching a bank thief. The unknown male suspect allegedly robbed five banks in July, including one attempted hold-up at a Bank of America in Winston Salem.
Since that incident in Winston-Salem the man has knocked off banks in Tennessee, and Illinois, and FBI Spokesperson Shelley Lynch said it looks like he is still driving the same car.
"It appears to be the same vehicle that was likely used in Winston-Salem," said Lynch. "It is a black Chevy Captiva with a silver rack roof on the top."
If you have any information about these robberies, call the Charlotte Division of the FBI at 704-672-6100 or Winston-Salem Crimestoppers at 336-727-2800.
