(RALEIGH) -- If you're looking for new challenges and old classics, you'll find both at the North Carolina State Fair this year. The fair started Thursday and runs through October 21st.

Mark Janice from Powers Great American Midways says you'll see the favorite games you've always enjoyed and a couple of new additions.

"We reinvented some of the classics, the cat rack, the cork gun game where you shoot the cork and knock over the can. We've also brought in a beer bus game where you throw a ball and try to break the bottle and win a prize."

As always, food will be a top draw at the fair. This year's delicacies include fried Girl Scout cookies and fried cinnamon rolls with bacon.
