(RALEIGH) -- Early voting is a big success again this year -- with more than 800,000 people casting ballots statewide and counting.

State voting officials want counties to add hours to early voting -- but Gary Sims with the Wake County Elections Board says they doing everything they can.

“Right now I know we have hit max capacity, at what staff can do at this point.”.

State Elections Board Director Gary Bartlett has requested that county boards add additional hours to reduce lines.
