(RALEIGH) -- The race for Governor still appears to be a runaway. The latest survey from Public Policy Polling finds Republican Pat McCrory leading Democrat Walter Dalton 50 to 39 percent - and Libertarian Barbara Howe polling 4 percent.
Pollster Tom Jensen says the needled has moved little in the fall campaign.
“We’ve done four polls for the governors’ race now since labor day and every single one of them has had McCrory with a lead in the 10 to thirteen point range. It has been very consistent.”
In some other key council of state races, current incumbents have comfortable leads -- including contests for Treasurer, Commissioner of Agriculture, and State Auditor.
