RALEIGH - While some people see their vehicle as nothing more than a function of mobility, Porsche has always made it easy to see the art beneath the metal. "Porsche By Design" is opening at the NC Museum of Art in Raleigh this weekend with exhibits showcasing some of the most rare automobiles of any generation.

Faye Mitchell with the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources says it took a lot of careful maneuvering to get these vehicles into the museum but the museum could not have made a better choice when branching out.

"This is the first design exhibition ever at the Museum of Art, but there could not be a better choice than Porsches"
