CARY -- It's the next step in MetLife's major additions in the Triangle and Charlotte. Ground broken for a Cary technology hub Friday morning with the usual host of dignitaries, among them Governor Pat McCrory, who told our Brian Freeman on North Carolina's morning news, people from around the region will benefit.
According to Governor McCrory, "Even with MetLife coming to Cary, hopefully people from Pittsboro or Roxboro will also benefit. But now our biggest challenge is helping the Wadesboros, the North Wilkesboros, the Pittsboros, the Tarboros. That's our greatest challenge right now."
MetLife plans to bring 2,600 jobs to North Carolina by 2015, split evenly between campuses in both Cary and Charlotte.
