RALEIGH -- For some, its off to the airport before heading over the river and through the woods. And, if you're not a regular air traveler, Mindy Hamlin at Raleigh-Durham International Airport says it is important to plan ahead to keep those flight headaches to a minimum.
Hamlin said, "You can go to the airline website and put your flight number in, to see if your flight has been negatively impacted. Or you can call the airline to find out the status of your flight."
She added they are prepared to deal with whatever type of weather comes. She expects the major impacts on flight that are leaving RDU, with other destinations around the country where more severe weather is predicted.
