RALEIGH -- As people lined up for deals at Wal Marts across the country on Black Friday, there was a group gathering in Raleigh with a different intention. North Carolina NAACP President Reverend William Barber was one of the estimated 50 people protesting.
Barber said, "When Wal-Mart makes millions in profits, and the Walton family has more wealth than 42% of all Americans combined, and yet they have workers in their store that still have to get public assistance. The wall is broken."
The protestors were at the Wal Mart on New Bern Avenue in the Capital City; that was one of many places across the country where protesters were rallying against the retail giant.
