RALEIGH -- North Carolina's unemployment rate remained flat for June, as the number of people with full-time jobs slipped slightly from the prior month.
Larry Parker at the State Commerce Dept. says government jobs, particularly in education saw steep declines, but the private sector added about 7,500 jobs in June.
"Private sector was good, but when you factor in Government it brought the job total down."
Parker says government jobs are mostly in education, and related to teachers on summer breaks.
