RALEIGH -- National School Choice Week is coming up beginning January 26th and advocates for school choice, including Governor Pat McCrory, were at a rally at Charlotte Thursday.
Darrell Allison, President of Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina, says the number of people using non-traditional educational routes is growing.
"So when you look at that total number of kids that are educated non-traditionally we are at nearly a quarter of a million children and growing in the state of North Carolina."
Allison added that other states around the country are looking to the Tar Heel state for a successful model of implementing options for parents and students.
