DURHAM -- Durham-based Earl Energy showed Sen. Richard Burr their unique military hybrid generator that uses less fuel consumption on the battlefield.
Doug Moorehead, former Navy SEAL and president of Earl Energy, says when deployed to forward combat operations, he and his command would have to ration fuel and guard fuel transport,
"That certainly wasn't the optimal use of our time, but that fuel had to get delivered. It is a big part, a logistical aspect, of supporting operations in a battlefield environment."
Moorhead says that was one of the reasons why his company has worked to develop a Mobile Electric Hybrid Power System for the military. Earl Energy produces products to support Army, Navy, Marine, and Special Operations forces globally.
