FORT BRAGG -- Military Budget cuts are threatening some operations at Fort Bragg, by grounding the 440th Air Lift Wing at Pope Airfield. Republican Congressman Richard Hudson, of North Carolina's 8th District, says the cuts would greatly hinder troop movement.

Congressman Hudson says, "Fort Bragg, North Carolina - the epicenter of the universe - is where our airborne and special operators are based. And they depend on these C-130s in the 440th for their training and also for deployment."

Hudson added that they have written to Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel protesting the cuts.
