CHARLOTTE -- The Medal Of Honor is the highest military honor in our country and a Charlotte soldier will be receiving the reward later this year. Sergeant Kyle White heroically saved his fellow soldiers, while under attack in Afghanistan. Sergeant White says he hasn't really considered what he will say the Commander in Chief.

Sgt. White says, "I remember when I spoke to him on the phone. The thing that I said three times, I repeated 'Thank you Mr. President.' As far as if I'm going to have any other words for him, it'll be interesting. I don't think too many people know, if they meet the President of the United States, what they would say to them."

President Barack Obama will award Sergeant White the Medal of Honor on May 13.
