RALEIGH -- Touting progress and North Carolina comeback, Gov. Pat McCrory took to YouTube on Friday to announce that state lawmakers will not be called back for a special session of the General Assembly.
McCrory said, "It would be counterproductive and a waste of taxpayer money to bring the General Assembly back, when there is no agreement in place on issues already voted on. And, after a lengthy session, they need a break. And, frankly, I need a break from them."
House Speaker Thom Tillis suggested McCrory could call lawmakers back to consider other economic incentives the governor wanted approved.
