RALEIGH -- Gov. Pat McCrory announced in a YouTube video, Friday, that state lawmakers will not be called back for a special session of the General Assembly.
The governor called it counterproductive and a waste of taxpayer money to bring lawmakers back when there is no agreement in place on issues already voted on.
"If however, a major job recruitment effort develops and it requires legislative support, I will bring lawmakers back to Raleigh."
House Speaker Thom Tillis suggested McCrory could call lawmakers back to consider other economic incentives the governor wanted approved.
