RALEIGH -- The Food Bank of Central And Eastern North Carolina received a $100,000 grant on Thursday from Biogen Idec for a school pantry program.
Vice President of Development for the Food Bank, Ashley Delamar (Dell-uh-mar), says Biogen is a long-time supporter of multiple projects.
They've underwritten a number of our kids cafes, which are after school efforts to get the children to feed them, to help them with homework and do some mentoring."
This particular grant will support school pantries across the triangle. More information on how you can donate or volunteer is available at foodbankcenc.org.
