(RALEIGH) -- The North Carolina NAACP and Democracy North Carolina are inviting faith centers to join hundreds of others across North Carolina in what leaders call,  an unprecedented faith-based, non-partisan Souls to the Polls voter engagement campaign.

As part of their state-wide “It's Our Time, It's Our Vote GOTV” campaign in 2016, at 1:30 p.m. on February 13th, following the Moral March on Raleigh, the groups plan to train people how to become "Faith Ambassadors" and lead voter registration, education, mobilization, and protection campaigns in their faith centers.

They will send people to training locations after they register, within walking distance from the Moral March on Raleigh.

The groups also welcome people who are not members of a faith community, but still want to get involved.  They can email  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
