Governor McCrory Offers Reward in Murder of Richard O'Neal Longmire

Raleigh, N.C. - Governor Pat McCrory announced today that the State is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Richard O’Neal Longmire, Benson, North Carolina.
On May 31, 2015, Richard O’Neal Longmire, 39, was shot and killed by an unknown assailant or assailants during the late evening hours at a residence on West Harnett Street in Benson, North Carolina.  According to the investigation, Longmire had been involved in an altercation at that residence, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene.
