(RALEIGH) -- The temperature is expected to reach triple digits Tuesday across a good part of North Carolina. National Weather Service meteorologist Brandon Vincent said the conditions could be dangerous for some people.
"It's that type of pattern you tend to get above normal heat in the summertime and that's what we're looking at tomorrow (Tuesday) especially we're looking at highs in the upper 90's to 100 degrees and that combined high relative humidity will send our heat index values likely above 105 degrees," said Vincent.
A number of counties are under a Code Orange air quality alert for Monday.
