(RALEIGH) -- North Carolina U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan continued her "Back To Work Jobs Tour" with a stop at Wake Technical Community College on Monday. She got a glimpse of the school's "Simulation and Game Development" program, which she said is an example of the relatively new industry that can provide jobs for the state.
"Here it is, the gaming business, there's 1,000 students in the program enrolled right now and there are jobs waiting for these students when they graduate because they will have the skill sets necessary to the jobs of the 21st Century," said Hagan.
Monday's visit was Sen. Hagan's second stop of her statewide tour. Her "North Carolina Back to Work Jobs Tour" will include stops in communities across North Carolina over the next several months.
