(WASHINGTON, D.C.) -- North Carolina Congressman Howard Coble took to the house floor on Wednesday to speak out against bullying in schools. Coble also offered praise for the new documentary "Bully", which uses strong language to illustrate the impact of bullying.
"I urge you all to see this movie," said Coble. "I want to insist that bullies are punished at their schools by their parents and are prosecuted as juveniles if they are still minors."
The motion picture industry gave the film an R rating for language and declined to change it when the producers appealed. That inspired teen activist Katy Butler to start an online petition seeking a lower rating so more young people could see the movie. The movie will be distributed without a rating.
