(RALEIGH) -- While we are in the heat of summer, it is difficult to begin thinking of the fall season, but it will be here before we know it and so will the North Carolina State Fair. Spokesman Bryan Long said the concert lineup for this year's run has been completed.

Part of the concert performances will feather North Carolina native and American Idol winner Scotty McCreery.  The singer from Garner will perform two shows at this year's State Fair.

"He will be performing at the fair on both Monday and Tuesday nights.  The Tuesday show, tickets will be available starting August 1 and that's sure to be a popular show this year," said Long. McCreery's Monday night show is already sold out.

Other acts scheduled at the 2012 North Carolina State Fair include Brian McKnight, Michael W. Smith, Jason Michael Carroll. A complete listing of activities and concert performances for this year's State Fair is available at ncstatefair.org.  The fair runs October 11 - 21.
