FAYETTEVILLE - Nicholas Holbert, charged kidnapping and killing Fort Bragg medic Kelli Bordeaux, entered a guilty plea Friday in Cumberland County Court. Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Jim Ammons read the plea agreement sentence of life in prison without parole.
"Court recommends substance abuse treatment psychiatric and/or psychology counseling."
Bordeaux was missing for more than two years when Holbert led authorities to her remains last year. An autopsy determined she died of blunt force trauma to the head. She was 23.
